Looking for vaulted ceilings, a wrap-around porch, or a two-car garage? Despite annual material price increases, the cost of these barndos, ranging from $30k to $40k for the entire metal structure, remains significantly lower than purchasing a new home.
Adding architectural fees brings the total to approximately $45k, which is still incredibly competitive.
When factoring in construction crew expenses at $250-$300 per square foot, it's anticipated that these types of homes will become prevalent in the Southeast and gradually expand to the West over the next five years through word of mouth.
